This Is Not A Depressing Post

First off, I would like to sincerely apologize for my previous blog. It was a little more serious than my usual posts and apparently some people could not handle it. One of my other very good blogging friends, Anna Raun (check her out at http://apicturethis.blogspot.com/, seriously do it she's good), told me that blogs are a good place to vent, and seeing as how I had never written a serious blog and only tend to ramble about my incredibly awesome life, I decided I would switch it up a little, keep things interesting. But I gotta keep my peeps happy, so I'll keep my posts lighthearted from now on, unless I feel like venting, then just don't read it ok?

Today is November 12. I can't believe it. Where the heck did this semester go? It seems like yesterday I was looking at my syllabus and stressing over everything I had to get done for all of my classes...oh wait that was yesterday. But seriously, the time has flown. In a week and a half it will be Turkey day, and then in another few weeks it will be Whitley's graduation and Christmas! Woah! Oh silly me how could I forget, my birthday is also very very soon. The big 2-1. Don't worry mom, I won't turn into an alcoholic. This is the cake I want, minus Bub and Roach. What kind of names are those? Poor guys.

Tonight, I am going to the Project Sunshine talent show. I don't think I've mentioned Project Sunshine in my blog before and I think it is time. P-Sun (I can shorten the name because I'm a member) is an organization here at A&M that works with children that have special needs. So far we have had soccer games, pic-nics, a Halloween carnival, and tonight is the talent show! I really love being a part of this group. The kids get so excited at all of our events, and it really makes me happy to see them having fun. The cutest Luigi ever at the Halloween Carnival!

I think a BIG congrats is in order for my dad, Coach Bob Gillis, for being the coach of the undefeated district champs this year! He's the president of the Texas High School Coaches Association, obviously his team is better than yours. (yeah that comment is for all the other coaches who read my blog) The birds will be playing their first playoff game this Saturday at 1:00 PM in Angleton, TX against La Marque. Just because La Marque has a big fancy band that can play all kinds of ghetto music, and dance around on the field, and do back bends until their heads touch the ground does not mean their football team can beat the Birds. La Marque is going down. Scariest mascot ever. Be afraid La Marque, be very afraid.
