Sunday Blues

I love weekends. I live for weekends. But with weekends always come my Sunday blues. I've gone through 20 years and 4 months of weekends, but I never get used to feeling sad on Sunday afternoon knowing the next day is Monday and another week of class. I'm especially sad this weekend is over because it was EXTRA fun. Wondering why? Because my life is awesome. Here is why my weekend was 10 times better than yours.

Thursday night I hung out with some of my very good friends. We enjoyed some of the fabulous night life that College Station has to offer. What's up Northgate!! We hit up Daisy Dukes and danced the night away. I never understand why scary guys think its okay to come up to girls and start dancing with them without even introducing themselves. Call me crazy, but I don't want random guys sweat on me. Ew, sorry that was too descriptive. Anyways, despite the rude creepish guys we had a blast!
Friday was pretty awesome, too. It was Carley eve so of course we celebrated. I went to Naked Fish with my cousins and aunt and friends and had my very first sushi experience. It was NUTS! Who would have thought that I would ever be brave enough for this adventure?? But with tons of reassurance from all of my friends and cousins I decided to man up and give it a try. And get this faithful followers, sushi is GOOD! Definitely not my favorite meal, but it wasn't the terrible raw gooey mess of fish that I was expecting. And if you are still terrified to have the sushi experience Naked Fish does have some pretty good pasta that I would recommend. My cousin Embreasty ordered it and I snagged a few bites, so thanks MB! After sushi, we attended Ryan Nemec's ring dunk. He is in love with my cousin Whitley, and let me say that they are SO cute together and SO in love. And I can definitley see why. He looked so manly and hott chugging a huge pitcher of beer in less than 2 minutes. My kind of guy. Anyways, now he is an official Aggie. Or maybe he is just an official senior at A&M? Or maybe dunking your ring has nothing to do with that, I'm not really sure about these traditions. After the dunk we headed back to Carl and Whit's place to hang out and talk. It was a super sweet night.

So now to Saturday. I told you my weekend was great! Saturday I hung out at the apartment with my roomies for most of the day. We were all pretty worn out from our earlier activities so we watched some TV and relaxed in our very nice and fancy estate that we live in. Our personal chef and butler cooked for us and gave us massages all day. Yeah, its a rough life. Saturday was a very special day because Carley turned 20! Call her and talk to her, she sounds so old and mature now. I went to her house and started prepping for her birthday bash. The food was AMAZING! Spinach dip, cheese and crackers, fruit (cut very nicely I must say), pasta, chips, sopapilla cheese cake. Woah, I want to eat it all again. After stuffing ourselves we just hung around and talked, which may not sound fun but I'll have you know that it was a blast! Carley's friends are so funny. Lots of interesting stories were shared but sorry I can't tell because it was girl talk and its all top secret stuff. So stop asking. After Carl's birthday fiesta I went and hung out with some of my EC friends, which was not so fun. But being so awesome, I made the best of it and had fun catching up with some long lost friends.

No fans my weekend is STILL not over because my parents came today, which is Sunday. Oh how I've missed them! They got here around noon today and we enjoyed a very tasty meal at Cheddars. My sistercuz Carley (the 20 year old mentioned above) joined us, and my dad shared some good and some not so good stories from his childhood. Turns out my uncle Scott (Carley's dad) was a bit of a pansy when he was a child. Of course, these stories were coming from my dad who also claimed that as a child my Grandad would hang a piece of chicken from the ceiling and my dad and his brothers would have to fight for it and whoever got it was the only one who got to eat for the night. Needless to say his stories may be slightly embellished. After Cheddars it was off to the movies to see Date Night. I highly recommend this movie. I saw it twice and it was STILL funny. Plus my dad was cackling for the majority of it, so you know its good. After this fabulous cinema adventure we headed to the upscale mall of College Station known as Post Oak. Lots of celebrities shop here. We found my favorite sister a birthday present, but since she is one of my only followers I cannot say what it is. But it is OH so good. Cass you will LOVE it, promise. My dad found a new sports coat, my mom found a lovely sweater, and I found some jewelry and a head band. It was a successful trip. Then my loving parents kindly took me to HEB where I filled my car up with gas and got some groceries. Aren't they the awesomest?! Then sadly they had to go home to their jobs in EC, because they pretty much run the town. And now I am sitting with my roomies watching a movie and relaxing.

This pic is not from this weekend, but is sadly the only one I have on my computer with both of my parents in it at the same time so it will have to do.

So like I said before, my weekend was fantastic. The weekend of all weekends. I am sad that it is over, but next weekend will be great too, so at least I have that to look forward to. I hope that everyone can experience a weekend as good as mine sometime in their lives, but don't count on it. If you read this entire blog, you must really really love me because it is record length long. Well I'm off to do important college things.

Stars out!

  1. Love the update on the weekend. I guess it is good that you didn't say what you found me since I am reading it! Oh and maybe you should have noted in the Christmas picture that that is not how we usually dress. We all look a little suspect except for Mom and Dad. Love ya Sis!
